I go to college, so I'm on a college campus a lot of the time, and I've noticed that in order to promote safety they often hand out to girls these little plastic whistles, commonly known as "rape whistles." Have you ever seen these? The basic idea is that girls carry these with them, mostly at night but they can be used whenever, I guess, but the girls carry them around and if they're ever getting assaulted or sexually attacked or whatever, they can whip out the rape whistle and blow it, so that way someone can come to their rescue.
