HWP Home Opener, and then......

On Saturday night, hockey returned to the capital city of Hartford as the Wolf Pack opened up their season versus the Sound Tigers of Bridgeport. We got there a little before and waited in the new 'atrium' and waited for the doors to open. Once inside, we made our way around and set up for our practice spots in my section.

It was good to see everyone and to have fun again, just like we did last year. Unfortunately the outcome could've been better as the Pack lost 3-2, but I see good things happening this year.

Besides the game on Saturday night, we went over to Party City and purchased our Halloween costumes. We're both gangsters. Prepare for partying on Halloween night in Hartford.

Then the weekend turned bad...

Early morning Sunday, Derek informed me he was feeling funny as in he was having shortness of breath. So, he asked me if I would take him to ER. His doctor is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, but at that hour I didn't feel safe, so we went to New Britain General. They took him right away, but once inside it took for awhile as we waited for test results and the doctor to come back.

He was released a few hrs later, but it scared me seeing him like that and me going through that ordeal. It meant a lot for him to have me there and I appreciate helping. That night showed me how I much love him and I'm there for him through thick and blood.

So, on Sunday I relaxed and attempted to fall asleep for awhile and just stay with him.

Anyways, I'm going to relax for now, ttyl.
