you need to write here more.. i thoroughly enjoyed reading this and am so amazed how absolutely insightful it is. I have wondered so many times about who decides whether a thing is wrong or not. I've done some bad things in the past and I didn't feel guilty.. and I myself felt i could justify what i did and i didn't feel it was bad.. but it would be considered wrong by society.
The selfish thing i totally agree with and have written an essay on it for philosophy in first year. everyone does things for themselves... there is no other way to live and i believe it is natural for humans to think of themselves. its a type of preservation. and even if that selfishness makes others happy, no one would do anything if there was not some gain for themselves. you should read the book The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand if you get the chance.. it talks about this and i think you'd like it. Its a tough read though. you need to have a lot of time on your hands and a fairly open mind. A lot of people don't like her philosophy. I loved it and I have a feeling you would too.
