This weekend was a total mess!!! I remember walking into Bob's house and looking down at my hands, wondering why in the world my hands were so red...then to suddenly realize that they were covered in blood. Yeah...GREAT. Then I get my hands washed off (it was horrific looking at all of that in the sink and running with the water down the drain)and had mass amounts of hydrogen peroxide dumped on them. OUCH MUCH?!?! That was only the middle of one of the most f%cked up days ever.
I go to the south side for the parade. Yay for that! It was great because as I was walking I saw Grace (and her mini posse), Julie, and Jim. It was so nice cause I hadn't seen Grace in such a long time (and she looked quite beautiful as well...LOVE your smile Grace...LOVE IT). It made me sad because even though I may not have been close friends with Grace, Jim, and Julie, they have always been so friendly to me and given me the best hugs. I miss seeing them at Barat, miss seeing them walking through the halls, sitting the in the cafeteria, walking around in Sophie's...it's just more difficult than I thought. I shed a few tears, but then had to move on because otherwise I would just drop :0(
Alyssa and I met up with Hector and Brett at the parade. It was fun. I missed Brett actually, and it was great being able to see him again. I knew that there was chemistry with Brett right when we first met, but I was dating Nando so there were no thoughts of ever pursuing that situation. Yet, since I have been single (not anymore, but back then)Brett and I have talked via text message and phone calls here and there. So we saw each other this weekend, and I suddenly realized it wasn't a good idea to come down there while drunk and see him. We had our fun, flirted and whatnot, but by Monday it was all kinda over. It wouldnt work out between us, and the most important thing is that there is Dave, and he just makes my head spin. Brett is great...no doubt about it. I would date him, but there are things (Dave aside)that just wouldnt work. I feel bad for what happened, but it's done. I can't do anything now.
So, I lost my purse at the parade. It had everything possible in it of course, so I call the police and they say someone had found a purse matching my description. I go, find out that it was my purse but that it had been turned into the police. I think about going to the station, but everyone was too drunk to even come close to walking that far, so I decided to get it in the morning. However, the police in chicago called the police in lake forest, had them go to my house to tell my parents that they had my purse but didnt know where I was (GREAT, HUH?!?!), and because my phone had died my parents were just completely losing it in every way. They even called Dave at 7am Monday morning, and he started to get really really worried as well. The campus security and the LF cops decided to come to my dorm and open my door to see if I was here as well (and make Heather next door flip out cause she thought I was dead too). So yes...lots of fun. That's great...just make my parents flip out and think that their daughter is dead on the South Side of Chicago...BRILLIANT I TELL YOU.
Oh heck...I will write more later on tonight (because last night was great...), but I need to shower and get ready for class!!! XOXOXO, Caroline
