Challenge of Champions

Tonight was the Challenge of Champions horseshow in Winfield. It was awesome! There were so many horses there it was amazing. I showed Mickey in Juvenile 3-Gaited Show Pleasure 14-17 in a class of eleven people. I got third behind Brittany Kale and one of the Shiflet's kids. According to Laura, that class was pretty competitive and I did the best I could possibly do. Brittany out-rode me (of course, she is AMAZING) and out-horsed me (Lizzie is also AMAZING) and the Shiflet's girl just had an awesome horse. Joyce showed Stormy and got 5th out of 6th, not too bad of a ride. They made a good showing. Ann was next showing Margie in Juvenile 3-Gaited Show Pleasure 13 and under, she wasn't tied, but had a good ride. The judge didn't really watch her that much. Then came Ciara and Sera. They had a beautiful ride and got 5th out of 10ish. Katie got 2nd in Juvenile 5-Gaited after Casey Morgan Tibolet (the only class she won tonight). Frankie rocks my world, you could tell that he and Katie were both having a blast. I mean, coming off of a 6th at the Red Mile...who wouldn't? Open English Pleasure was the demolition-derby class tonight. There were 23 horses in there. They sent 14 out after the class and had the remaining 9 go the first way again. 23 horses in the ring at the Winfield Riding Club is definitely a great feat. I commend anyone who was in there! It was a nice relaxing show since we only took four horses and we each only showed once. The State Fair's next weekend and I'm stoked. I show Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night. It's going to be loads of fun. I was originally supposed to stay at the Tuckwiller's house in Lewisberg Friday night, but now we may be staying a Chuck's house, which is nice except for the lack of A/C. It shouldn't be too bad though. I'm going to ASHAV. I'm especially excited for that because I'll be showing a nice enough horse to where it won't be terribly embarrassing. Right now, it looks like we'll be taking Sera, Belle, Margie, and Mickey. Sera and Margie are iffy because Ciara and Ann's parents haven't made up their minds yet, but Belle's 90% for-sure going and I'm taking Mickey as long as we're going. So that's pretty much my life right now...woowho!!
