(no subject)
So I have not posted in an AGE. I am still living at Hacienda Backsonparents, and don't have access to a desktop computer at home, and I don't like composing long posts on my iPad. But today I am doing it. BECAUSE I LOVE YOU. AND AMERICA.
The new job is great, although it feels a bit like I fell asleep and woke up in the 1998 Phi Delt Heaven and Hell party. It's a high-testosterone environment, and very hard-charging. The hours are long. The partners are very, very ambitious. That said, it feels far more woman-friendly than my last job. The partners are mostly men, but all of them are married to professional women. Even though you'd expect Seattle to be more progressive than ATL, the norm there was that partners were men width stay at home wives. That's definitely not the case here. I've already traveled once for work in the month since I started, and will again in a few weeks. It's exciting, despit how tired I am much of the time.
In other news, I have found a FABULOUS and enormous loft to rent. And I dyed my hair dark brown. It's incredibly strange how different I look-my entire gestalt is different. I'm watching boatloads of sports-Euro, Wimbledon, and now the Tour. And soon the Olympics! Man, I love summer...
I have had less luck finding a church-I went to the local Anglo-Catholic church, but I suspect them of harboring schismatic leanings. So now I'm at the Cathedral, which is conspicuously non-Marian (and no sign of the saints, either). SIGH.
