Right, I'm really not good at this LJ thing! I must remember to write in it regularly... and check everyone else's too, as right now I feel so out of the loop!

Uni is going well. My water treatment rig is being designed and it's looking pretty awesome. Sure, it's still just lines and boxes on a page but the image I have of all the pipes, flow rates, and which knob has to be twisted on or off for whatever reason is rather freakingly scary...
And the budget is slightly blown... by about $15,000...
...whoopsies...

Lab demonstrating is going well. We've had a few fires but so far I've been able to deal with everything without a problem. And while the uni exams are on I'll be doing my Sr First Aid course, so I'll really be able to be a good demonstrator. Plus it's just a really good thing to know.

And how freaking awesome is it to not be stressing over study and exams right now?! It's soooooooo great! I think I'm doing ok - I've done a big chunk of my candidacy and my lit review is going ok. I almost lost my sample earlier as the cold room broke down. The tests I've done so far seem to indicate it's ok though...

Ummm... that's about it... for all these weeks I've been doing research and not much else...
So here's a bit of silliness that I had to try as Immy is down and I have nothing else to occupy me as Puppy watches the AFL Tribute Match.

It's certainly interesting!

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

Nyx

A child of the darkness you are! Nyx is the Greek Goddess of the Night and inhabits those souls who desire darkness. Not necessarily an evil or good person, you simply desire to surround yourself in all things mystical that inhabit the night time landscape. A fascination with the stars and celestial bodies also tends to accompany those whom Nyx has taken up residence in. Embrace the darkness baby because it’s already embraced you!
