Birthday Stuff
So it was by 23rd birthday on Thursday.
I had a lab class in the morning. Puppy's cousin is one of the students, but he's not in my group (which I'm glad about, as I didn't want to mark his work) however he's close enough to my section so I can still annoy him with questions and make sure he doesn't catch on fire.
My mates had classes after mine, so they gave me my pressies in the lab (which my students found amusing) - and it was only a chem quiz lab so it was ok to bring in the giant stuffed dragon from Amanda. He's now on my desk, wrapped around sample bottles. Adam got me the complete Vicar of Dibley DVD :)
When I got home Puppy came over and he gave me a weird green massager thingy (it was a pressie more for him than me), The Nightmare Before Christmas boardgame, and a dayspa voucher which I almost fainted over when I found out how much it was worth. He then took me out to dinner at a lovely restaurant. He did have soccer that night, but decided not to go and spent time with me instead - which I was rather happy about :P
Lulu and my bro gave me a Dr Who action figure - David Tennant with his sonic screwdriver :P
Oooh - I need to thank Molly and Winky for the wonderful gifts they sent me for my b'day! Molly gave me a beautiful necklace with a green sparkly pendant. Winky gave me a lovely necklace with a blue glass pendant. They're sooooooo fabbity!

So yes - it was a very nice day!
Tonight I'm having a small party with family and mates. It'll just be a BBQ, but I'm really looking forward to it.
The Ph.D is coming along fine - it's slowly becoming more focused, so I've been able to start my literature review with a proper direction. As it's just looking up journals and reading them - not much to report on.
And now for some randomness:
