HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PEOPLE!!! CAZZIE BACK!!!

Hey everyone! Missed me!? I'm back from Placement after a seriously knackering but brilliant two weeks. Placement was awesome, I've learnt so much and got to do loads of stuff myself which was really cool, especially as it was only meant to be an Observational! My Practice Educator gave me a really great report, so I was chuffed, and she said I'm gonna make a really great OT! YAY! I'm so relieved that I enjoyed my Placement cos this term I have really felt like I couldn't do it at some points, that it really was out of my reach! I haven't been quite getting the results I want, but this has shown me that when it matters, I am a good OT! And Placement is where you really prove yourself, so now I just have to keep at it and remember that I am good! Lol!

It was quite tough emotionally - fortunately I didn't lose any patients, but friends of mine did, and that was very hard. I did deal with some pretty horrific injuries and cases, but I think you get a little bit stronger every time. Obviously it's gonna be harder at first, but I'm sure eventually we will learn how to cope with it all.

Got to go into Theatre as well - that was REALLY cool! Got to see a Total Hip Replacement, which involves a lot of drilling and hammering! The Surgical Team were wicked and really involved us as much as they could. We (being me and Clairey) thought it would be quite scary and intense, but we didn't feel queasy or owt once! In fact, we were both saying how we were actually quite hungry, as the op went through our usual lunch break! Lol!

So all in all, a wicked experience! Knackering as it's totally manic and obviously physically demanding, and we had to be up at ridiculously early hours every day to have breakfast and leave the house for the walk/bus journey which took well over an hour - and we had to be in early enough to change and be clean for 8.30! But we were living in luxury - the six of us stayed in these two couple's family homes which double up as a B&Bs for students - so it was en-suite everything (jacuzzis and all) and seriously posh breakfasts! But it was great fun! I did feel very guilty though, as my poor little Christopher ended up in a complete dump which should technically have been mine! He did come visit though so lucky him, he got to see us some nights!

And then last weekend whizzed up to Shropshire for Janey's sister's wedding, which was just LOVELY! I love a good wedding! It was all really beautiful, can't wait to see the photos and get mine developed! But I'm terrible for getting photos sorted, I SO need a digital camera (although my overdraft/debts won't permit that for at least a decade, but hey, that's a whole nother entry...!) But it was really nice to be there, and to catch up with loads of friends, including one special one in particular, who also happens to be called Chris (lol - again, a whole nother entry...!)

Right, think that's enough for now! Sorry to go on, it's just as I wasn't able to connect to the Internet after all last week (sorry MSN Buddies! Or rather, lucky you!), I thought I'd do a nice big entry to bring you all up to scratch! Lol!

Must go now - essay to finish!

Love you all, see you next week hopefully, YAY!!!

Cazzie x x x :-D
