Speaking of mid-fifties magazine articles... victorthesage February 19 2007, 21:55:54 UTC
I frequent some of the antique shops in the area, and in one I found this in-depth exclusive about Dr. Kinsey and his sexuality research in American Magazine (The cover had a happy young couple puching a pram wearing college letter jackets, if you can beleive it). The writer was an ordained priest, so you can throw any ideals of journalistic integrity away right now. It begins with a two page "investigation" of how the culture of America has been gradually eaten away by Dr. Kinsey's findings.

Then, and this is so awesome that I sometimes forget to breathe while thinking about it, the writer spends a week in the Kinsey house living with and observing the family. By the end of the aarticle, the writer has such a hard-on for Kinsey that I'm surprised cum didn't leak off of the page onto my lap as I read it. he kept denouncing Kinsey's actions, but in such a lovingly phrased way, praising his hale masculine good-looks and his movie-start hair... It was so ridiculous that I didn't stop laughing for hours.

I keep it in a plastic dust cover that I bought at the local comic book shop. Whenever I feel blue, I read it and it makes me remember that all is right with thte world, and the cosmic balance really does exist.
