Three things right quick:
1. We've been getting slammed lately with anonymous spam comments, most of it--to put it delicately--not commensurate with the nature of this AU. LJ's spam filter has caught everything, so far as I know, but it's still a shock and a pain to come over and have dozens, if not hundreds, of spam comments to clear out. As a result, I've had to turn off anonymous commenting for this comm. I realize a number of our readers don't have LJ accounts and/or may not feel comfortable leaving comments under their LJ or OpenID name, which is why we've left anonymous commenting on this long. But I'm hoping that the bots will move on after a few months, which would allow us to reopen for the genuine nonnies out there.
2. Speaking of anonymous comments, one of the recent genuine ones brought up something we should address more generally. If you're interested in writing fanfic or drawing fanart for this AU, first, know that we're flattered and honored that you like our work so much! But we do ask that you request permission first, and before we can grant that permission, we need to know both who you are and what you have in mind. You're welcome to PM either of us here or on FF.n, or you can contact
jennytork on AO3.
3. Re: the new LJ TOS: We ain't goin' nowheres. If something happens to LJ or to the comm, however, we have backups of everything and will find a way to put the word out if/when we have to move to a different site.
We're not done with this AU quite yet! We're just both insanely busy and thus can't promise when we'll get back to any of the stories in our WIP pile. Thank you, though, for your kind support over the years, and we hope to see y'all around soon.
