My God, it's full of stars.
So I missed the sign up for the sncross_bigbang but i signed up to do art. Luckily enough i found a story that wasn't buffyverse related. glasslogic Wrote the brilliant story a single blade of grass.
Its a Supernatural / Millennium crossover fic.
And its BRILLIANT!
I totally feel like i did her little justice with my art. Especially considering how good her fic is. Go read it here NOW! and don't forget to comment. Some of the art kind of contains spoilers for the story. So if you haven't read it or its prequel Midnight of the century (and you totally should even though this is stand alone.)
The Video
As soon as i knew i was doing a Millennium crossover i knew i had to make a video.
I used the Millennium theme music and edited it so that it was like the millennium opening credits with all the clips.
I discovered that with out even meaning too i had put a few themes in there. Can anyone guess what they are?
oh and if anyone is feeling generous feel free to go to Youtube and comment there too!
The Banners
This one was actually the first one i made but i just wasn't happy with it so i made a second. But glasslogic liked them both. so there you go. I drew an angel on the blank page of john's journal to represent one of Dean's drawings but it was so crappy that i covered it with pictures. I mean obviously if someone took pictures of these three they wouldn't do it in their bedroom but i still had fun making the manips.
I found this awesome picture of a single blade of grass on google images and wanted to use it but my art skills suck and i couldn't get it to show up right on the first banner. So i made this one.
THe angel is from a mosaic. Millennium was littered with religious imagery.
I even used the same font that they use in Millennium for both the title and the writing. Took me a while to figure out what fonts they were but done now.
Icons
I knew i wanted to make icons because to me writing for a bigbang its good to get a banner and an icon for posting. glasslogic asked for an icon using the angel picture and the blade of grass so the first one was easy. And the journal turned out so well that i decided to make it into an icon.
Dividers
Dividers to me are an big bang given too. I mean you can always divide your story with a
*****
But it always looks better if you use an graphic of some kind. It was easy to do because I already had the polaroids and the journal made.
The photos
Here is the polaroids in a larger format so you can see the details. It was quite fun putting a sleeping Dean in between Jess and Sam.
