LJ - Dreamwidth update or The Mass Migration
Hi everyone,
Okay, here goes. I am now here on dreamwidth, were I will most likely be staying. This will become the main home of my fiction and me, regardless of the fact that I can no longer edit my own comments and have no access to my stats, oh well. Everything else is similar enough for me to be able to settle in relatively well.
Although this is now my main home, I will still post to my livejournal, or rather I will post links at my livejournal to my dreamwidth when new fics, chapters, etc go up. I will also be disabling all comments on my livejournal account, so any comments that you have made in the past are no doubt going to disappear. However, your comments are clever, they followed me here to dreamwidth and can still be viewed just as before. You will still be able to comment on fics etc on my dreamwidth journal even if you don't have an account by logging in using open ID (you can use your livejournal ID).
Now, on to the main problem that has come of switching over to dreamwidth. All my posts and comments have followed me, as have all my links in my entries. The problem with this is they all link to my livejournal. I aim to redo all my links as soon as possible so that they all correspond with my posts here on dreamwidth. This may take some time though, especially as I am working the next three days, and I start uni next week. All my fics are here though, and all the tags are in working functional order, so you can use them to locate my fics or certain chapters of fics at the moment. The masterlists of fics are not reliable in regards to dreamwidth.
I do want to appologise to those that are going to be affected by this, but in my opinion an extra click on a link is not too much to ask to ensure privacy. For anyone who does not wish to make that extra jump to dreamwidth my fics will also still be on my fanfiction.net page and at my website (although the latter is in need of a major overhaul and there is currently a lot of fic missing from there).
