Week 2 - Laundry, Life, and Laziness
Using all the bedding, towels, and extra linens as packing material worked out great for safety of stuff packed inside them. However, it did not work out so well for cleanliness of said linens. The resulting mountain of laundry had plagued us for the past two weeks due to our lack of laundry devices. All that changed Monday morning.
The Best Buy truck pulled up fairly early in the morning. I spent the majority of the time recounting tales of Best Buy work on delivery trucks and shuttles with the gents that dropped our new washer/dryer and my Prototype video game off. Took some time to figure out how to get the W/D to fit in the laundry closet as the hoses seemed to not reach. We'll get some pictures up on Court's facebook shortly.
I then spent the remainder of the day doing laundry. In fact I spent several days washing dang near everything washable here.
On the news side, we got both good and bad. Courtney got an offer to work for Effort (where her job is currently) as a full time teacher for the fall. Once the board has it all figured out, she'll have an interview. Myself, on the other hand, am currently unemployed. The Lee's decided that my services are no longer needed as the two girls with two weeks of training seem to be doing a decent enough job. We'll see about that when the girls head back to school in Sept. *cackle*
Prototype is a pretty fun game in short bursts. Enjoying the Venom/Carnage feel, but the continuous chaos of the game gets on my nerves after a while. Oblivion however, is still splendid. Also enjoying Champions Online Beta. Can't tell you much, but it has really shaped up from my initial impressions over the past two months.
