I love this book. It makes me want to go study Holy Rollers even more.

been reading too many scholarly articles when you're reading a book for fun and flip to the back to look at the citations  ... only to find that there are no citations.

Finals start next thursday. I'm in pretty good shape. All of my homework/papers/etc. are done and completed. When I get back my "draft" from Dr. Costin on Wednesday we'll see how much more effort I have to put into it. I hope almost none. I'm ready for that paper to be done.

So I realized that I have not updated for a while. I think I'll take the time to do it now. I'm going to separate it out into cuts for everyone so you don't have to read what you don't want to do.

By this time next year, unless something unexpected happens, I will have my BA in Anth. This is the last of my undergrad work.

Today is the first day of classes. I feel like I'm not starting classes though because the only class I have today is water aerobics. And I get to spend about almost 5 hours at work.

Well as of 9:00 this morning I finished my last final. I'm going to be starting my final year of undergraduate work this fall and I've got mixed feelings about it. I feel like I have even less of an idea as to where I want to end up now than I did going into college. I'm still strongly considering going to graduate school.  OK... so I'm changing my major to Anth... looking at the numbers, I could, conceiveably, graduate in June 2009 with two degrees. One in Deaf Studies and one in Anthropology... it would mean one semester of 19 units and one semester of 18, but it is possible to do it. Now I need to figure out if I'm going to do it...

I started school on thursday. I've been to 4/5 classes. I have a feeling I'm going to be very sad with a lot of my 100 level classes. They're required for the new major though. At least I have a couple of easy A's.

I'm definately happy that I'm changing my major. I can already tell that I'm going to be much happier with Anth than I was with Deaf

I hate group projects. They're always more work for me than it would be for me. It would be easier for me to just do the work and give the presentation on my own. Instead when I have to do group projects it means that I end up doing the research and throwing together the presentaitons  AND try to keep all of the uncoperative and useless members ( Read more... )
