While some may point out that it means we're that much closer to winter, I for one am quite happy fall is just around the corner.
We're starting to get a taste of autumn crispness to the air, which I adore. Trees here and there have started to turn, and a month or so from now, they'll be brilliant.
I think it's more than that, though. Perhaps it's because I'm not that far gone from school, or maybe because my birthday is in the fall, or possibly because it's just after Pennsic, but something about this time of year just strikes me as a prime opportunity for fresh beginnings, or, well, the turning of a new leaf - even more so than, say, New Year's or the start of spring. Not that I have anything specific in mind, but this whole time of year is somewhat revitalizing to me, and I'm looking forward to it.
