a weekend away from home
after a little research, went ahead and got this in april and used it for a few weeks. was recommended to use with the UV white compact (can't remember the name).
but right after the first few days, had a few not so positive comments i.e. looks cakey, too pasty-like, "why do you have so much make up on???" and one guy even started lecturing me about NATURAL BEAUTY.
so i stopped using it, i figure that they probably've matched me with the wrong color (NC25, and few years before this, they recommended NC35!)
and then tried SKII and that was a very bad idea. it smudges off if i accidentally touch my skin with my fingers a little.
and then i decided to give Giorgio Armani LSF + Fluid Sheer another try. Not so positive comments this time round either.
then i found my old Chanel Universel and started using it again. i think it was cos i switched to their Blanc Essentiel Light Reflecting Whitening Fluid when i was going through my whitening craze moments and hence, stopped using Universel for over a year. And surprisingly, ppl started commenting how good my skin looks! how glowy it was, etc. and then when i almost ran out of the product two weeks back, i realised the item's been replaced!
and then i decided to try Teint Innocence and it's actually, i have to say, as good as Universel, if not better. I've been using it for a few days with Poudre Douce in Rosee and so effing loving it!
Funny though, how I decided to purchase Innocence. i just had champagne brunch at Ritz Carlton and by the time we were finished, i was so high and happy to the point that i didn't care of the whats, hows, wheres, whos.. i just walked right into lot 10 (walking distance, thank gawd!) asked for a right match and purchase it straight away. i didn't even know what poudre douche is for until few nights ago!
So you know what, at the end of the day, you can NEVER go wrong with Chanel foundations :)
PS: Champagne brunch at Ritz is so SO SO good. Food is so yummy, service is excellent and champagne is good. I have to say, they're not at all stingy with their champagne which is great!
PPS: SHREK 3 is so funny too! purchased some DVDs and did a little shrek marathon last sat with wine and watched shrek 3 immediately after. fun!
