My uncle was the one who taught me about being vegetarian (though I eat chicken nowadays and loads of fish) and the impact we make on the world with our food choices. I am so grateful he lets me ramble. He was the one who told me, with much sternness and equal parts love,
"A man has only one chance to hit you. Then you're gone. Do you understand?"
He was also the one to make sure I understood that a man who could not speak to me with respect was a man who did not respect himself.
Took me a while to really understand that.
Now he is in Vancouver and I wish he were right around the corner so I could run to him for hugs anytime. I love you Tito Mok.
