berlin!
i just bought two tickets to berlin. 2 weeks.
crazy excited. this is pretty much the last of the money i saved over the summer, and im looking at going back to school. all the more reason to do it now, before im poor again. i cant believe i am doing this, that i do actually have the money and i am really really doing it.
some things to be excited about:
1) travelling with nick, always fun.
2) seeing tiffany, who i miss a lot.
3) berlin!
4) maybe a jaunt to hungary
5) travel!
6) starting classes when i get back
7) adventure!
after years of being trapped here with no money and no ways out, i finally made it to nyc, and now berlin. its only little trips now, but its important, reminding ourselves that there is more out there. motivation to keep working towards a future of not being trapped here. i feel like im slowly getting back where i belong.
nick in the meantime is going to a place shes wanted to go for ten years. im happy to be giving her that. i dont mean paying for the ticket, i mean saying, yes, we can, here are the days, lets go. it makes me feel like we can really do the things we talk about, not just talk.
this will be the first trip that belongs to both of us equally, so im excited about that. i think it will be a lot of fun. i really think we are going to love it there and never want to leave. which is excellent motivation to find a way to go more permanently....
i just had a strange thought. wherever i end up next, when people ask where im from, ill probably say toronto. wierd.
