getting busy again. in a good way, but scary nonetheless.
got hired to go into schools and teach children about
stormwater issues and
buried rivers and make art. awesome project in conjunction with the
Human River Walk and
Toronto Public Space Committee. I strongly encourage Torontonians to take part in it come October.
Did you know that all of Toronto is under aboriginal land claims? what would happen if we just gave it back?
going to be teaching TOEFL again in october as well. im nuts.
ive asked to cut down my hours at BoringJob(tm), so well see if that goes through.
saving money like mad, which is awesome.
oh and, working on this coloring book project for
Hotel CanZine, which is also in october. maybe i will post some images from it soon.
and with that... back to work.
oh, i almost forgot: some guy cut me off today on college (at grace) and i fell off my pony (my fixed-gear bike). at least he stopped and apologized. i think i was sort of in his blind spot and i wasnt riding quite defensivly enough. he even straightened my handlebars out for me. then some people on the street got me some ice and napkins when i realized my chin was bleeding, and while i waited out a minor wave of shock. im going to have a wicked bruise on my right cheek and jaw.
funny, i think i was just talking with someone the other day about being more worried about damaging my bike than my body in bike accidents. thatll learn me to pay attention. at least pony is fine.
