Am unlikely to get online tomorrow night - unless I can convince my Streak to do the wifi tethering thing - so this will probably be my last night on LJ or the interwebs for.... *gulp* eleven days. I'll check tomorrow in the morning, but after that, who knows?! 'Cos I am off a-crusiing, and now that the annoying part of going on hol is done (ie, packing) I'm getting rather excited. Also glad that we're going at this time of the year; I do NOT tolerate high temps (by which I mean 25 plus - C, naturally, not F) so the average of 15 - 24 we should encounter in the Med should be well within my comfort zone.
So long, folks! Keep well, and keep ficcing. The best bit of being offline for a while is coming back to lots of lovely-jubbly fic, so I'm hoping for more parts to some ongoing long fics (notably
cj_quickwit 's awesome Troubles Compounded, and
treeofstars's The Last Resurrection. Perhaps
bugsfic will get start on a new epic - or start another Adamsverse with
bsg_aussiegirl .... ah, the sky's the limit, and now I'm starting to get excited at the thought of coming home again! Awf'ly sad, I know.
But for now... cruisin'! And cities! From Sharpe, as
marymac reminded me yesterday. Kinda wishing I could be bothered downloading them just to drool at Sean Bean. And food, oh dear. However, the ship has an ice rink (that should be a nice change from all the sun) and a rock climbing wall along with the usual suspects of pools and gyms. However, I am far more likely to head for the former than the latter! Hopefully I'll also get some writing in. RJ has given me permission to bunk off from Difficult Term for the next ten days - although really, shouldn't be much to do - and I persuaded the guy I do freelance research for to also let me off the hook for the duration. Which means... I can get back to my own epic efforts and try to do a few more installments of both Substituted Sacrifices and It's Complicated. One can always hope...!
Oh, I've just remembered that I do have MS Writer for blogging. If I kept a holiday blog, would anyone be interested in reading it?
