So I'm sitting here at home for Easter. And it's not so bad, because I've got plans tomorrow and whatnot. But tonight...kind of...eh. It was my obligatory family night. But...now that they're in bed, I'm left here with a skunky Killians and my lappy. So I'm going to force-feed my thoughts to you. The..one of you who reads this.
-Toto? Vastly underrated band, as far as 80's bands that college kids should love go. It doesn't get much better than "Africa," I tell you what.
-My musical tastes have become much..softer since I've started living with the hippie. He's a real calming influence in my life at the moment. We spent some time banging out tribal beats on my empty apple juice jugs on Thursday. Pretty spectacular display of awesomeness.... and boredom.
-"The Graduate" remains an awesome movie. And it's also kicked me on a Simon and Garfunkel listening-spree.
-TMNT wasn't everything I was hoping it would be. But it was enough. And I loved it. I loved it hard.
-It's official, after two weeks, Sarah Molly'd me.
-You guys don't know about Sarah, because I didn't write about her. Met her on St. Patty's Day. And...she's pretty flaky, apparently.
-I'm seriously considering getting a home-brewing kit for the apartment next year. Good beer cheap? It's like a sore dick. You can't beat it.
-I'll be in Pinckney again this summer. But...that leaves me the entire month of May with nothing to do. Meaning...I'll probably spend a lot of time floating down the Chip and working on a tan for once in my life. Slacking has never sounded so awesome.
-Colin Hay is another underrated artist. He was once the front man for "Men at Work," but now does solo stuff. Scrubs introduced me to him, and the man's just....he makes good music.
-Grant's birthday party next weekend is shaping up to be a real....opposite of a barn-burner. But, at least there will be a keg. And where there's a keg, there's an obnoxiously drunk asshole who tries to sleep with everything that moves.
Me.
I'm not proud.
-I wish I were 21 al-freaking-ready. Just so I can try all the random microbrews that somehow make their way to Mt. P. Not even to get drunk off of them, because you can't get drunk off of good beer. You can just enjoy it. And I prefer enjoying a beer to anything else.
-I'm so burned out with this semester. I will celebrate like I never have when it's done. I've never been so apathetic to classes in my life.
That seems to be enough for now.
