a new leaf is turning....
well i write this now to announce the coming introduction to my new, multi-faceted site. it will serve as a blog, site to download my music, and site to view my pictures i have taken. it hasn't launched yet as i still have to register the domain name at aboyandhiscrayon.com. all the artwork and layouts are fairly completed. i decided to go this route as i wanted to centralize everything i had going online, and this is the perfect answer. i think its really neat. i found a site which really does everything i was looking for with the help of frankie and his infinite wisdom. its a place called TypePad.com and its a simpler, easier to use version of their software called Movable Type. i would highly recommend it. at this point im only on the 30 day trial but anticipate paying for the year subscription. very exciting....
what i have been up to: well lets see, i have been getting things prepared and set to go before the movement of my residence to syrcause, new york. im mostly using hand-me-down materials from sister as she won't be needing them anymore. im excited, but then im not. im really looking forward to meeting all new people and taking classes and being independent but im really NOT looking forward to leaving the wife. i can't think about it at all, it breaks my heart everytime. i leave on wednesday, august 25th and i have no idea when i will come back....
in other recent events, i spent a week in hawaii. who would have thought the family going to hawaii? definitely not me. but we went. and it was excellent. we stayed on maui and did all the popular things to do there (look for more detail upon the launch of aboyandhiscrayon.com). there was seldom a time when taking a look around you, you were not taken aback by how beautiful everything looked. the sea, the beach, the vegetation, the towns, the people, etc.... all my favorite pictures will be posted on the new site when i get around to it, but there's a lot to look through! would you believe it, i even got some color when i was down there haha. i guess thats it for now, to everyone i never saw or talked to before i left (anytown people, blame it on eve crew, hmhs class of 2004), i hope all is well with you. i wish you nothing but the best in the coming year and i know i will make an effort to catch up once all is settled at school. take care and goodbye everyone....
