well, im back....
a new song was written....
its been a long time. i have had some form of work for the last 10 days or so, that is pretty much everything i have been up to. during the week i am spending my time at the tatem playground "supervising" small children. it is fun most of the time and only gets slightly annoying some of the time. the only problem with it is that it requires me to wake up around 8:30 or so every morning. this would be ok if i went to bed at a reasonable time, but i dont, so by thursday i usually have entered into completely zombie mode. this includes drifting in and out of coversations with people, bumping into walls, and all around empathy towards most things involving excessive movement. this weekend i worked at omaha for both days which means i will have been without a day off in a long time, hopefully i will manage to stay awake....
a lot of events have occured since last time this was updated, i really dont recall everything from then until now. ive been going to a lot of graduation parties for various members of the class of 2004. they have been all around fun and interesting. my own party with sister was last weekend and it went well. i saw a lot of relatives i rarely see and i wish they were around more, especially earlier in my life. i made a lot of money, simply for graduating so that was nice. i plan on putting a lot in the bank and only keeping some for some anticipated purchases. i got summer assignments for syracuse and they are not very good. interesting as they are, its still schoolwork in the summer, and no one wants to do that. i have to watch a lot of tv broadcasts, read a book, and keep a long journal recording all my thoughts regarding the media and its effect on people. i have been using my school email address which is nice. you can send me things at spage@syr.edu whenever you feel like it....
i found out that the family's vacation plans: hawaii. the concept is staggering. it seemed to be a compromise for members in the family, me wanting to leave the country, sister wanting to be on a beach/tropical locale, dad not wanting to leave the country. i havent gotten pumped for it yet but i know it will be incredible. that will happen in early august before i ship out....
tonight rg came over and we worked on our series of skits we intend on producing and starring in which aim to make people laugh. we have some great ideas and the things we worked on tonight turned out surprisingly professional. our first idea we are working on is a version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire with out sick humor laced throughout it. it should be awesome. i get really excited when we work on them because they make me laugh and doing something creative with a friend is something i have looked forward to doing....
i finished a new song the other night. the more i listen to it, the less professional i think it sounds so i will probably redo some things in it. besides that though, i think it is excellent and i am very pleased with it. give it a listen and tell me what you think, its called "a shallow sky"....
even with everything i did, today was still missing something....
