Chili Peppers!
I have their new album. ^_^
I actually got it the day after it came out, because there's no music store in my town. T_T So, away I went on Saturday to get it, and get it I did! I meant to post before now, but stupid dialup was been stupid slow. :(
Anyway, first off; it is MELLOW. Seriously, that's the only word I can think of for it, and it's not perfect, but it's a pretty good one-word description I think. The style is really different from before (seriously, someone hearing this after one of their early albums would be like "Woah, that's the same band?") And I guess well, it isn't. The drummer and lead guitarist have both changed since the band started up, only Flea and Anthony Keidis (bassist and lead singer) are still there.
But despite these changes, there ARE similarities, so I think they ARE the same essential band, telling the same story, just...differently. They've still got that essential...well, weirdness I love about them. Huzzah!
Oh, and it recompletes my collection of their albums. :3
