pet holocaust.

do the scientists make all the animals wear badges like the germans did to the jews?

you know bottom line is YES animals die for scientific research and YES they may not be treated great but its in our best interest to do so. It's unfortunate but that is how the world works. when animals hunt other animals for sport and kill each other in the most brutal of ways everyone seems to understand and accept this but people seem to forget that we are also animals and fortunately have been given the brain power to outsmart most other animals. I personally could not go and kill an animal for testing but i don't really disagree with it either because sometimes you need live animals to do certain tests and all of you that are complaining now, think about all the medical advancements that have helped save thousands of human lives that could only have been done by testing on animals beforehand. your mothers, fathers, grandparents and possibly even you reap from the benefits of animal testing.

and i can tell you something, had humans not developed to be as large strong or intelligent enough to overpower or outsmart other animals, i can assure you the rest of the animal kingdom would take no mercy on us, whatever their cause.

The main difference being that the rest of the animal kingdom still needs to hunt other animals to live, and even if it's not necessary there's little evidence their brains are advanced enough to be empathetic. We on the other hand are advanced enough scientifically that the killing of anything for food or clothing is now completely unnecessary and advanced enough mentally to have such things as cognition and compassion and religion, but we keep killing things because we like the taste or the fashion. Your comparison is bunk.

As for medical advancements, I can't really condone the torturing to death of something completely defenseless because we want to be immortal. The human race is in no danger of extinction, every individual is just shit-scared of dying. I wouldn't really call that justification for killing something that posed no possible threat to you. I also don't understand why we're using animals that have never done anything and will likely never do anything to any of us when we have however many thousands on death row that we know have done people harm and that, as humans, would make much better test subjects.
