How Not To Procrastinate

I'm always looking for new ways to get organised, because it still surprises me how inefficient I can be when left to my own devices. I'm fine at work, or out of the house, so I'm tempted to blame the fact that I prefer to spend time finding exciting new ways to save it, rather than just doing the things that need it on living at home, or genetics, or "unwinding", but really the reason I have no time to, say, finish The Tailor of Panama (which will NOT defeat me, goddamnit), or iron stuff, is because I don't want to make it.

I've tried a whole range of life hacks, including Structured Procrastination (failed because I procrastinate by doing Things That Never Needed Doing In The First Place), the Hipster PDA (gave up after a week because, for one thing, it was annoying to carry around), and am currently working on The Enormous List Carrot And Stick Theory. It goes like this:

Premis 1: I need to do stuff.
Premis 2: I do better with challenges.
Premis 2: Lists make good challenges because crossing stuff off is oddly satisfying.
Conclusion: I should make A BIG FAT LIST with a carrot (junk leisure) and a stick (having no clean clothes to wear, for one).

Unfortunately, I'm getting to the stage where I've done the easy things, and am starting to ignore my list...Time to waste more time on the internet, methinks.
