I just had one of the most beautiful moments of my life.

So right now, its 5.30 am. I finished work about an hour ago and on my way home I decided to get off the subway early, at 96th street. Its only 24 blocks from there, and I was in such a good mood from the night that I wanted to walk up through rhe upper west side one more time before I headded off to texas.

There I was all rugged up in a jacket and scarf slowly making my way uptown, block by block when it started to SNOW! I honestly believe it must have been the first snow of the year. There it was falling from the sky like castor sugar into the streets. And for just a few minutes I stood, outside the cathedral on 112th street and looked up into the sky.

The street lights lit up the snow all around me and for one brief moment as I looked into the stars, I felt infinate. There I was, barely 18, alone in the biggest city in the world all by my self, watching the first snow of the year.

The streets were completely deserted, except for the odd taxi that would speed by every five or so minutes, so I had the entire experience to myself. For a few moments it was if I was the only person in the entire world who was alive and breathing. The entire night belonged to me.

While eveyone else was asleep, andre rhys young was dancing alone in the snow.

I’m so happy.
