Weightloss and Crossfit

Since September when I started working out, I have now lost 15 kg! That's around 33 lbs! :D :D :D :D

I am super stoked and this only inspires me to work even harder :)

I am really enjoying the Crossfit training, even though it's SO hard and I'm nervous before each practice. Like, so nervous that my tummy aches and I feel like I need to throw up! *snort* I'm fine once the training starts, it's just before it that I'm nervous. I'm hoping that I'll get over the nerves soon and that I wont be as terrified of the tough training. But it's hard, yo! This stuff is tough!!!! They really work me over good. Yesterday I ran more than I've ever ran in one day. And since the weather has been so good lately, all of our practices have been outdoors. I'm really loving that, getting the fresh air and not being stuck inside some stuffy gym.

With CrossFit, it's so much more than just "working out". It's almost like training a sport or something. I'm always training with the same group of elite guys so it's kinda funny how I'm always the last one to finish everything and I always have lighter weights and stuff. I could train at another time slot and then I might be training with other women who are closer to my capability. But this time slot I'm in now works best for me. Plus it means that I'm training with my brother so we can ride there together and it will save a lot of gas money. He feels sorry for me for having to train with only a bunch of guys who are so far far better than me. One guy in the group is ranked as the 35th best CrossFitter in Europe. lol. He's awesome. I was paired with him the other day to train with and it was kinda cool :P

I've only been doing CrossFit for just under 2 months now. My younger brother has been in CrossFit since September and he's lost over 30 kg! (66 lbs) He used to be rather fat and now he's so slim and so fit! It's absolutely unreal how much his appearance has changes in such a short time. They call him the "Wonder kid" at the Crossfit station. The trainers are so proud of him and everyone is like, "ooh you are Árni's sister!" So I think I'm expected to do just as well ;-) hehe. I still have over three months of training there before I'll move to London so I intend to make as much progress as I can. I don't know how much chance I'll have to train in London, due to both time wise and money wise. I'm terrified of gaining all this weight back on during my year in London. I'm planing on really really focusing on my diet and eat healthy and not fall into some unhealthy eating.

Anyways, that's all I wanted to say. If you want to lose weight and if you want to make a lifestyle change, today is the day! Do it now. Make a decision and stick to it. Prepare for it to take a while and never give up. It's tough but in the end, it's so worth it!

Also, if there's a CrossFit station near you, I'd definitely suggest you check it out. It originates from America so there should be plenty of them there but it's also getting really popular in Europe.

You don't have to be in good shape to do CrossFit. CrossFit will get you in good shape :)
