Make-up: Inglorious Masceras
So, mascaras. I've been on the hunt for the perfect mascara and so far I've not been successful. I have tried everything and I'm never happy! It's a frustrating search.
Lately I've been using Maybelline Colossal, the big yellow one. It's "OK" but not awesome. It's almost finished so I needed to get a new mascara and went to the drugstore. I hardly ever buy the same mascara twice because I'm always looking for something better.
Recently I bought the L'Oreal Double Extend and that one I do not like at all! It makes my eyelashes look stumpy but the worst part is that it's SO much work to get it off!! It takes so much longer than any other mascara I've ever used (and I'm not talking about waterproof mascaras because I never use those). I don't know what it is about this one that makes it so hard to get off, maybe it's the primer side that makes it stick like glue. But whatever it is, my eye make-up remover has a real hard time getting it off. So I've used this mascara like three times or something.
So this time I bought L'Oreal Telescopic in the black casing. I've already tried the silver one and the gold one so now I wanted to try the black one.
I was super excited to try it on but I'm sad to say that it's very disappointing. I'm wearing it right now and it's just not good. It gives me absolute NO thickness. It does lengthen a bit but nothing to be overly excited about. It smudges my eyelashes together so it looks like I have only six really thick lashes. Wha? I tried to comb through the lashes with a clean dry brush afterward but the mascara dried so fast that it was impossible.
I would show you a picture of my lashes right now but I forgot my camera at home (am at work) and the picture is too blurry when I use my phone camera.
Now what I REALLY want to try is the Covergirl Lash Blast. I keep hearing really awesome things about it and I desperately want it. BUT, they don't sell Covergirl in Iceland :-( *sniffles* I've tried buying it online at Ulta but they don't accept my Icelandic credit card. Bleh. I'm going to look for it on Amazon though. Usually that works when I can't buy directly from the maker.
Anyways, this post got a lot longer than I intended. As you might have noticed lately, I've become quite obsessed with make-up. It's pretty much taken over my life now. It's my biggest interest now :P
So I figured I'd try my hand on a make-up blog entry. Maybe I'll do more of these like, product reviews here.
I've also decided to start making my make-up related posts on LJ open instead of friends only locked.
