New Fic
Alrighty, well I've gots a new fic in the works. It's on its last few chapters and has already been sent to my beta. Anyways, I just wanted to post this to tell what it's about, really. Cause I'm excited about getting it started. It's different, I think, but I'm hoping it will get positvie reactions whenever I start to post it for real.
The idea for my new fic
Okay, so basically, I didn't want it to be about Sheppard whumped. Wait.. that's not right. I didn't want that to be the focus. I wanted it to be in the background, but always hanging over the reader's head. Let me explain:
In this story, I wanted to explore the idea of an after life. Well, not after life, per se, but a plce in between life and death (hense the name). If you've ever seen "The Invisible" then you know the storyline to my fic, but if not, then here it is...
Shep wakes up one morning to find that he's practically invisble and later finds out that his body has been severely beaten. It follows him and his struggle to find out why he's there and how to get out of it.
I just wanted to do something different. This idea allowed for a couple different things:
-Explore the unknown (life after death)
- Explore 'big brother is watching' - see what people say when Shep's not around..
- Do something that didn't necessarily have anything to do with them being in the Pegasus Galaxy..
It's more of a thinking fic, I would say. You have to keep up with what's going on and such and it's proving to be difficult to ensure it's understandable, but that's also what my beta's for.
Well, that's about it. We'll see.
