[House Hunt] Just about there
Today we have been officially notified of our closing and are in the process of getting the final numbers so we can have the necessary checks cut.
Thursday, we meet our real estate agent Robin at the new place at 11 am for the pre-signing inspection (this is to make sure that the current owners are handing it over clean and with no new damage.
We then start signing the paperwork (Yes, we're really going to live there. We promise.) at 1 pm in the offices of our mortgage lender's attorney. And when we're done we hand over a check (or checks) for a lot of money and get a few small pieces of metal in exchange.
Then we'll only have to suffer through electricians, painters and cabinet makers for the next two weeks or so.
