I had a pretty good time. I was a bit leery going in because I've really been finding dealing with people (or just the thought of dealing with people) to be extremely tiring lately. But over all, it was fine. I did hide in the room at a few points but they were fewer and shorter than I had been anticipating.
The art show was very good this year and we (I) probably spent more than was wise there. Having a dealer's room back was nice and I found a t-shirt that made
taura_g laugh so of course I had to buy it for her, along with my more normal purchases (books) and for the first time in quite a while, I got a con shirt (the image was one I could not pass up).
I took the year off from being staff, which was definitely the right choice (see above, people being tiring). Next year I'll probably be back doing the staff thing though. I attended a few panels and a few parties (my main regret is that I went into the con short on sleep so that by time parties rolled around each day, I was pretty much done) and hung out in the lobby a lot, people watching and reading.
It was wonderful to see everyone that I managed to see and I'm sorry I didn't have more time to talk/hangout with you all.
