oh yes, I know what you mean. Adding text is the easiest thing on the planet. But finding something to actually write on the icons, something that will make sense... that's the hard part. I could have put an "Adrian" or something like that on all the Adrian icons and had text but I wanted them simple like that, sort of "clean". Text can often just be over the top.

But yes, I know that not everyone realizes that these textless icons aren't just cropped pictures. These caps we work with are very often quite dark. Some times I give samples that show before and after, like this here.

When you see how the original just-cropped picture looks, you better see what's been done with the coloring of the icon :)

Yeeeeah, one of the hardest parts is to actually find a color that fits the picture, without making it look bad. If people could only see that...
On my last bach of icons, I did some with text, and a bunch of people said "owww these look great! I prefer icons with text than textless ones" and that makes me kinda sad. As you said, if you have something interesting to say, than go ahead, but to write something just to have anything written there is kinda silly.
And plus, I really am aweful when working with brushes. XD

Owwwwww!! Changing the subject a little, but guess what? I found out the problem with my layout. Now it looks pretty, as it should. :P

yeah, but I just have to go with what I like and what I feel inspired to make, and this time, it wasn't text. I did say though in the post that people are welcome to add any text to these as they'd like *G*

yeah, and since I'm lame with putting text on icons, I'll let the Adrian icons I took to stay just as they are :P

Yeah, I'm glad to... I was starting to freak out XD Though now I have another problem, with the sidebar. LMAO! *rools eyes at her stupidity*
