I posted this as a locked entry in my journal a while ago but I thought I might post it open in my graphic journal.

Rotating layout headers

I have had several people ask me how I make layout headers rotate like I set up for several people, like causlash. I thought instead of always helping individuals, I could just set up instructions and y'all can ( Read more... )

very cool!

Might you know if there's a way to add friends b-days into a component?

*hugs*

you mean like, my birthday is on december 15th. And seeing as I'm on your friendslist, on december 15th, my user name would appear in a component that said something like, "Today's birthday is causette's!" ... or something like that?

dude, it's probably very likely that it's possible to have it like that. But I just don't know the answer right now. I'd have to really go deep to figure that one out. But I totally want to!!!! This is an awesome challenge *g*

But stupid math homework :( I can't figure this out tonight (even though I'd much rather do this than the math! - although coding is very closely related to math in a way... okay I'm rambling).

I can give this some time earliest on Tuesday. If you are willing to wait that long.

Take your time, honey! It's been bugging me for some time and I was jsut talking to someone in my lj about it yesterday and I *swore* you had it in you lj so I went and looked and when I didn't see it, just thought I was nuts. But I figure if anyone would know how to do it, it'd be you. ;)

'Cause....

YOU 'DA BOMB!!!!!!!

ah no, in my layout I just used to have a link about wanting a b-day banner. It was just a link to a post I made where people could request b-day banners. I've taken it down by now cause I decided to stop making b-day presents all together. It was becoming too much of a stress.

but I think your idea is a really good and useful one and I totally need to figure it out!!

LOL Uh oh... I've set her on a quest. ;)

And uh... I'll still be expecting a banner. You're not getting out of it that easily. LOL

Just kidding. I do know what you mean. I just had to make one and I wass 2 days behind cause well, I'm just naturally behind in life. ;)

I tried to do the birthday banners for a while but found out that Photoshopping on demand is really hard for me. I have to wait for inspiration. And making graphics when I HAD to make one, like a bday banner was starting to feel more like a chore than an actual enjoyment of creating something. And that's why I simply just stoped. Completely. I don't even check the b-day list anymore so I never know if it's someones birthday.

It's good that you relaize it's a chore before it just plain pisses you off. I understand needing inspiration--things go a lot easier when you feel the "need". *hugs*

Abd PS:

Good luck with that math crap. I can't add two and two and be certain I'd get 4 every time.

Seriously.
