Note: These banners can be used for anything other than icons. They are far to large to be used as icons. Mostly I thought of these banners as Info Page banners (see my info page as an example). They can also go into your "intro post" if you have one or your FO post. Do NOT use them outside of LJ. That means no MySpace!! AND NO MESSAGE BOARDS!!
You are welcome to chose whether you use the actual size banners or if you use the thumbnails. The thumbnails are 160px in width and could go well into layout sidebars if you'd like to use them there. I do though have a preference for people to use the actual size banners because they were created in that size and therefor look better like that, than as the thumbnails where they are a bit cramped.
I do suggest though that you don't overload your info pages or sidebar with these cause they do take a while to load and it could make your info page horribly annoying to others. If you can't chose just one or desperately want to use more, I'd like to point you out to the 'random banner' tutorial I have HERE. The tutorial is meant for journal headers but it can easily be used to rotate these .gif banners. Just follow the first 3 steps and you are good to go :)
Help support the show and put a banner somewhere up in your journal! And please, remember to credit either caugraphics or causette somewhere for it.
