i've given it some thought. sociology ain't useful enough for my likin'. i took it cos at that point, i didn't have a direction. it sounded easy and interesting. it was the former, but not really the latter. but i kept goin' cos that was what i signed up for, and hey, there'd be a degree at the end of the tunnel.

but see, something happened today. this morning, peter bought the old shady pines mental hospital. he's gonna refit it, make it the best. that place is gonna need people to work there, people to help. people to make a difference. i wanna be one of those people, kay. i want to have the ability to change a stranger's life for the better. so i'm gonna learn what makes us tick, and i'm gonna be a shrink. help some people get their lives on track, y'know? i like the idea of doin' good. i like it a lot.

only reason i didn't mention it to you before babe, is i've only just come to the conclusions myself.

ha! well, i certainly wouldn't complain! but y'know, i like spending time with you whatever we're doing. doing you is just one of many pleasures. a very great pleasure, but still just one. unless there's multiple... never mind, should probably leave that train of thought for somewhere that's not carla's journal.
