Just a blog page here Okay, I know, this is just a blog about a product and not a medical journal, but ladies, think of the possibilities. Yes, there are many benefits for us to be on some sort of birth control, including hormone regulation, regulation of your period, it helps to clear up some acne, and you know, drastically decreases the possibility of getting pregnant. But what if your guy was on something like this? If this treatment is what it says it is (no adverse effects), and a 3 month effectiveness, you go from 1% chance of getting pregnant to damn near zero. Plus, if you are allergic to latex or your partner is, or if the girl has a bad reaction to the hormonal methods, this could be a great alternative.
There are some not so great aspects of this as well. Used on its own, it only had a 95% effectiveness. But compare that to condoms. With perfect use, there is a 98% of remaining pregnancy free, but with typical use, it drops to 85%.
reference page. There is another site of effectiveness rates
here. Is there then a worry of trashy guys going and picking up women and bringing them home and lying to them about them being "on the shot?" Is there a worry that women lie about birth control? I think the answer here to both questions is undoubtedly yes. The fact will always remain that if you are going to have promiscuous sex, you should always use more than one type of contraceptive. It boils down to trusting your partner.
All I'm really trying to say is a product like this shouldn't go undeveloped. I think it has a lot of potential to curb the rate of unwanted births. People are gonna have sex, this is just another way for them to do it safely.
