[In Mal's frantic search for her totem, the communicator's gotten dislodged from the last place she stuffed it (between the sofa cushions) and fallen on the floor, so it's liberated from its prison when Martha chimes in. Mal is sitting curled up on the sofa, at the end of her rope. When she hears Martha's voice, she peers over the edge of the sofa at the device.]
