time's the revelator
so thursday afternoon, jackie and i drove into new kent for the night. i found out wednesday night that she was going and knew james was gonna go to see hank williams jr. at the fair that night, so i called to make sure it was good with him and decided to ride with her.
we left blacksburg around 1:30 and headed east. jackie dropped me off at james's house just as he was pulling into the drive from work, then she left to go to patrick's. i took my things in and he changed clothes, then we left to go pick up bill and amy to head to the fair. we met bob at the fairgrounds, too. nicki didn't come with him, not sure why. i hadn't had dinner, so james bought me some french fries. he said he wasn't gonna get anything until he saw a kid walk by with a huge ice cream cone and decided he had to have one. lol
the concert was overall pretty good, although not nearly as rowdy as i would have expected from ol' bocephus, but i enjoyed the music and the company. we got back to town around 11:00 and both james and i were exhausted so we got ready for bed.
not sure exactly what time we actually got to sleep though. we laid up and talked for a really long time. we actually had a very good conversation and some of the things he said really meant a lot to me. i'm actually still really happy, just because of that night.
jackie and i headed back to blacksburg early on friday. we made it back around 1:00 and i took the longest nap ever because i was exhausted. took it easy friday night.
started pre-gaming around 11:00 yesterday with jackie, EA, win, ben, bone, brenda, and a bunch of other folks. the game started at 3:30, and let me just tell you... it was AWESOME watching georgia tech get spanked. we celebrated pretty late into the night. ended up over at worm's for a bit with shane. saw dustin, ronnie, jeremy, and a friend of jeff's who wanted to come sleep in my apartment with me... lol.
poor james is stuck on 24 hour squad duty til 6 tonight. he's been there since last night and i know he's probably exhausted. so glad i get to see him again this thursday when i head home for that meeting. and chad is getting married on saturday. looks like it's gonna be a busy week!
