How catyuy gets from one obsession to another.
So I've recently become obsessed with something new and I thought that I'd show you the logical process that brought me to it.
I've been a fan of Smallville for many years. I've recently developed an obsession for many DC and MARVEL characters. This is the last season of Smallville. One of my favorite DC characters is the focus of an upcoming episode. Sebastian Spence has been cast in that episode as another of my favorites. So I researched his past roles. He was in the last two episodes of season 1 of Supernatural (Salvation & Devil's Trap), an episode of Dark Angel (season 1, Hit a Sista Back), had a very minor recurring role on Battlestar Galactica and was the main character on a show called First Wave (which I haven't seen and will look into Netflixing it). But it was his role in 4 "made for tv" movies that intrigued me.
The Donald Strachey Mysteries, are a series of books featuring a Private Investigator who happens to be gay. There have been four movies adapted and aired on the Here! network. The books are okay if a bit outdated, the first book, Death Trick, being written in 1981. I have become obsessed with the movies.
The main character of Donald Strachey is portrayed by Chad Allen (whom I will obsess over once I find the time to watch all of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and his episodes of St. Elsewhere, where he played Tommy Westphall). Timothy Callahan is Strachey's life partner. He is the only character besides Strachey to have appeared in all the novels and the films, in the latter of which he is portrayed by Sebastian Spence.
So now I'm searching the internet for Don/Tim fic and coming up with very few. Darn me and my luck for finding fandoms when they are dwindling or dead.
So this was my process of obsession. Jumping from one virtual lily pad to another til I find a nice one to stop on for a while. The multiple links are there so I can entice others to join me in obsessing.
