Charmed/Supernatural
Well my idea muse has gone crazy again. This time it has jumped outline!muse and insisted on plotting an idea for an epic Charmed/Supernatural crossover. Goes AU for season 4 of Supernatural and takes place after the finale of Charmed.
Basic idea: Deana Campbell wasn’t just a Hunter. She was also a witch from the Warren line. When Mary married John she bound her own powers and bound Dean and Sam's powers as well. Back from Hell Dean starts doing things he thinks are impossible but the truth is revealed in 4x03. Sam and Dean set out to San Francisco to talk to distant cousins who can help them with these powers and maybe stop the Apocalypse as well. Let's just say that this is not how Zachariah planned things. Prophecies are revealed, allies are made, deals are struck, family is saved, traitors are dealt with and those in hiding could be the source of salvation or their own destruction.

Charmed: Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, young Wyatt, young Chris, young Melinda, Billie, various Elders, Coop, Henry, some of Phoebe's and Paige's kids, Pru, Penny, Patti, Victor and Sam Wilder.
Supernatural: Sam, Dean, Castiel, Bobby, Anna, Ruby, Jo, Ellen, Rufus, Uriel, Chuck, Zachariah, The Trickster, Becky, Adam, Bela, Raphael, Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel, John, Mary, Sam and Dean Campbell, Andy and Ash.

When Mary married John she bound her own power of Levitation. Upon Dean’s birth she bound his power to his very soul and did the same with Sam. She believed that this meant her sons would stay magic free until they died of old age. The demon blood caused some of Sam’s powers to manifest but in poor condition. (he got headaches from his Premonitions and could barely access his Telekinesis).
When Dean sold his soul to bring back Sam’s soul it confused the spell. And both brother’s Witch abilities were then bound by Dean’s soul (but since he sold it neither could access them). Once resurrected from hell Dean starts exhibiting his own abilities of Empathy and a kind of “sight” the lets him see Demons true selves (or maybe Mediumship). He finds out about their witch birthright on their mother’s side in 4x03 “In the Beginning”. He tells Sam that they both have abilities that have nothing to do with the Demon Blood which makes Sam wonder at the depth of these abilities. Castiel informs them of three sisters in San Francisco who can tell them more.
Deana’s family was also descended from the Warren line of witches making the Halliwells and the Winchesters distantly related. The brothers eventually discover they can communicate with each other telepathically and somehow trade powers with each other. Example: If Sam is incapacitated then Dean can get a vague premonition or a weaker version of telekinesis. Vice versa, Sam can get limited Empathy and see a glimpse of a Demon’s true self. The Halliwells give them a crash course on their magical lives while the Winchesters warn them of the different evils that are out there.
During this time, Paige uncovers a prophecy about two brothers being Vessels for the Final Battle between Michael and Lucifer. All the details point to it being the Winchester brothers. Dean and Sam are horrified to learn this and begin researching ways to permanently eradicate the demon blood from Sam’s veins and to make themselves not be Vessels. Ruby is vanquished somewhere in here and the sister’s start hunting Lilith with plans to exorcise her back to the deepest vaults of Hell thus preventing her death and the final seal being broken. Trips are made to protect various seals and fight the good fight.
Along the way they help Anna regain her grace and gain her as an ally, destroy Alistair (but not until after he manages to kidnap Phoebe and Sam). Uriel attempts to kill the Halliwell’s children thus forcing a confrontation with Castiel and Anna and his own death. They meet Chuck and almost catch Lilith but Zachariah interferes. Castiel is pulled back to Heaven but manages to leave Jimmy with the theory that an Archangel’s blood freely given could eradicate the Demon blood from Sam and that Gabriel has been MIA on Earth for over a Millennia and a half. Anna and Billie go searching for Gabriel, Sam and Dean keep Jimmy with them and Paige goes to retrieve the Novak family back to the manor for their own protection.
Castiel returns but due to his orders from Zachariah, attempts to avoid the Winchester’s in order not to betray them. The Halliwell’s are approached by the Goddess Hel who says that she and her siblings would be willing to help them if they promise not to harm her family. A deal is struck and Fenrir informs the group that their father Loki knows where Gabriel is but he is in hiding and must be tricked into coming. The Halliwell’s manage to trick Loki into appearing at their house the same time the Winchester’s return. The brother’s recognize him as the Trickster they’ve encountered and want to stake him.
They are prevented by the promise that the Halliwell’s made to Hel. The Trickster nee Loki, is reluctant to discuss any matter concerning the coming Apocalypse and keeps trying to convince his kids to return to Hel’s realm where they can be safe. He can’t leave the manor, without permission due to a spell that Hel wrote for the sisters. Anna and Billie return with Adam Milligan whom they rescued from Ghouls. Anna recognizes Loki as her brother Gabriel. To say everyone is shocked is an understatement.
Other things happen. Gabriel is convinced. Lilith is sent to hell. Lucifer's rising is averted and they deal with the Heavenly fallout.
At some point its revealed that when Angels stopped walking the Earth regularly Gabriel and Raphael created the hierarchy of Elders and Whitelighters for the protection and guidance of good magic.
So there's the giant IDEA that I will never write. (like the epic season one Heroes AU with Elle and Sylar or the epic Chuck/White Collar crossover with Bryce and Neal being twins)
Someone please take this and give it a good home or tell me where I should toss it into the ocean of the internet with the greatest chance of getting someone else to reel it in.
