While Mother's Day is a constant worry of fretting and what-to-get my notoriously hard to shop-for mother ("You don't need to get me anything!" YES I DO RRRRGH.) Father's Day is possibly the easiest. This year's haul: Carte Blanche, the brand-new James Bond novel authorized by the Fleming Foundation, street date June 14th, and thrown in to make the shipping free is a book I know my father's been looking for: Being a Scot, authored by one Sir Sean Connery, released stateside for the first time.
God bless my father's fangeeky little heart, it makes my life so much easier.
(Now if only I can train them the reverse - they try, my mother was SO PROUD when they found the first season guide for Supernatural at a Half Price Books and bought it for me, and I didn't have the heart to tell her I already had it, haha. BUT THEY TRY.)
Mm, the weekend. Tomorrow I shall wake up early and sally toward my shoppings in the morning. So much less traffic on Nicholasville when I do my shopping before 9 a.m., haha. And then first-showing-of-the-day for my movies. Going to go see X-Men, of course, but I haven't decided on my Sunday viewing. There is a showing of something called "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" that seems to be about cave painting, I shall have to investigate that title a little further, caves make me antsy but ... shiny educational film! DECISIONS.
