My awesome day (so far)!!

May 02, 2015 14:07

So far, this day is going really great! Saturdays tend to be my favorite anyway -- I don't have to go to work, my husband is at work so I have the house to myself to do whatever I want without interruption (except from the cats), and be as lazy or productive as I want ( Read more... )

fun stuff, ftw!, bookstores, things that make me smile, stuff that makes me laugh

I started in doing laundry Friday night and I'm still doing laundry.
Hubby got a bit peeved because I started up the washing machine, the dryer, AND the dish washer before I went outside to do yardwork on Saturday. (I left him inside with all the noise makers! LOL!)
I still have more laundry left to do but the end is almost in sight.
Right now, I need to go reload the dish washer, so I better go!
I hope you have a nice Sunday.

Thanks! I'm hoping today will be good, too -- and it's off to a good start, but after having so much fun yesterday, today will be playing catch-up, doing lots of chores.

You sounded so happy yesterday. I hope you and your Hubby enjoyed yourselves last night!

I can understand how, years ago, a friend who had two small kids and a mother to wash for as well as herself, put a load on to wash and another on to dry each morning just before she left for work and she repeated the process as soon as she stepped in the door at night.
She also kept a couple of laundry baskets beside her chair in the TV room so that she could fold clothes while she watched TV each night.
I only have two people to wash for, myself and my Hubby, but it's never ending!

OH yes, it's just my husband and me, too, and it's amazing how much laundry we (I) end up doing on a weekly basis. Part of that is because we joined a gym, and the sweaty workout clothes need to be washed, but work clothes and evening/relaxing/yard work clothes, too.

And then there's the cats... not that they have clothing to be washed, but their fur gets *everywhere* and sticks to every item of clothing. A lint brush helps, but only so much.

Speaking of "fur", I once got a bottle of Arm&Hammer carpet deodorizer that had an ingredient in it that "made fur and hair release from carpets".
I was shocked at how much human hair came up out of that carpet! And no one's ever had a pet cat or dog in the house--it was all human hair!
