Poppies in bloom!

The title says it all, really -- the poppies in my garden are in bloom (with a few more yet to come)! birdgirl_1107 asked me to post some pictures, and here they are -- I really like how they go with my recently updated LJ layout.

(We just got a new digital camera, so these shots show my attempts to try out different effects, stay tuned for more playing in the future.)
