Why do you like Riptide?
Because: smart people are sexy, sexy guys are sexy, the show was really about the friendship between the three guys, the cute geeky guy wasn't just played for laughs, lots of hurt/comfort potential, the action/humor/angst effect.
What are your three favourite foods?
Cheese, pizza, and beer can chicken.
If you could meet someone (alive or dead) who would you meet?
Thom Bray, who played Murray on Riptide. (I often said Stephen King to this sort of question, but I've read so much about him, I know all the answers to questions I would ask him.)
What is your favourite part of your body?
My eyes -- I like how the color changes based on what color I am wearing.
What type of music do you listen to?
In the car, listening to the radio, I listen mostly listen to the oldies radio station (50s, 60's & 70s music) or the "light and easy listening station". When I listen to CDs, I like Tom Lehrer, The Three Tenors, Billy Joel, and occasionally classical music.
At home, I'm usually listening to whatever my husband is practicing on the piano.
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you live?
I'd love to live in Portland, Oregon, especially near Powell's Books. It seems to me that have an artistic (music, theater, fine arts) community to rival where I live now, and the weather seems nice.
Or it would be cool to live in Canada, which is very cool and has socialized medicine, or in Norway, which is where my ancestors come from.
Why do you write fanfic?
Because I love Riptide, and I love to write, and I love to share both of those love with other people who will appreciate them both. Also, I'm still sad that Riptide got cancelled after only 3 years on TV, and fanfiction is a way of keeping the show alive and active, and of imagining what other things might have happened if the show had stayed on longer.
