Advice for my mom?

She is looking for a laptop for her living room. To start with the project is to take the old slide collection and convert it to digital (using something designed for this). She has used Zach's eeepc a little and is comfortable with that form factor.
To that end, she asks:
"I liked the HPs better than the Dells at Staples. Actual good assistance and info from Jonathon, should you shop in Shrewsbury... Better screen, better keys. I do want Windows 7. What do you think of this one? I HATE feeling so ignorant!!!!
