I do networking well...
I'm at work today and working on boring event reports when I get a call from downstairs that I have a visitor. Its my very good friend Eric Elam who popped by to give me an Emory t-shirt and say hi! I drug him upstairs to meet my boss. I've been telling both of them that we should get together and start a chapter of the Emory Black Caucus in LA! So we did that today, we ended up talking for over an hour and came up with a game plan! YAY! This is so fun. I've always enjoyed working with Alum Relations and I think it might be an option for me should the PhD thing not work out. I love working with the special interest groups and Kate (my boss) has given me a project to get the Candler School folks involved with special interest groups. So I am doing some event planning stuff and that is a lot of fun.
Tonight I am meeting Margo and Jenny for dinner at Duck's Cosmic Kitchen in Decatur YUUUUUMMMM! Then tomorrow is a very busy day with Christmas shopping in the morning, lunch with Corinne at noon, more shopping and cleaning till 3:45 when I have to leave to meet Eric at Melton's app and tap for Carl's B-day dinner and then bowling afterwards. I used Eric and the other folks coming to get out of going to the Golden Coral! Mwahahahaha!
Friday Ben and Amanda get here and we have FF dinner then Saturday we leave for the Boro! Sheesh! I am going to stay in the boro for a few days longer than Carl I think. Prob till the 28th or so then ride back up to the Atl for the New Years partying!
