Wow have things changed. I haven't logged on here to write anything in a super long time and I come to a very different website. I was pretty surprised, but a good surprise.
Anyway, I should get down to business of updating since it seriously has been way too long. To start things off I have moved out with my cousin. We moved in November and are living in a duplex on the east side of Green Bay. It kind of fell into our laps. We looked at a couple of places but nothing that really caught our eye. We looked at our place and the landlord was basically- you want it you can have it. Their reasoning was that since I had lived at home there was nothing to do a rent check on and Sarah's landlord at the time was one of the city council-men. Plus both of us had full time jobs, so they figured they were pretty safe. We really liked it and it was in the location that we really really wanted so we put the deposit down and two weeks later we got the keys. It was really cool. So we moved in right before Thanksgiving and have been living here since. I really really like it. It's a little dated (built in the 80's and not much has been updated) but it's clean and warm and ours. :)
My birthday party turned out to be pretty interesting. As it turned out Michael couldn't go out cuz he ended up having to fly down for his grandpa's birthday party. I gave him a massive guilt trip and he felt really bad, so it was all good :) Not as many people were able to go out as we first thought, and I ended up drinking hardly anything. We still had fun though, going to a couple of bars and dancing a bit. But we ended up leaving even before bar close. Isn't it always the way- you anticipate partying and drinking and the like and you hardly drink anything. But you plan on being a good little drinker, only having a few and you wind up getting blitzed.
Things at work are doing alright. The customer service aspect of things is really wearing me down. I have about 5 more months of it. But hopefully things can get pushed up a little sooner. One of the girls on my team was out of the contact center after 5 months, so one can hope! I'm still really getting along with the people I work with. Michael is still crazy as ever, and Terri who sits over the wall from me and I are becoming closer and closer. I still think it's so awesome that I get to work with cool people close to my age. At All City I was the youngest one there with the next oldest to me was about 7 years older, married with 3 kids. So it's really nice to be working with people who are closer to the stage of life as I am.
Other news going on is that I am recouping from a broken foot. Well, I'm in week 5 of a 6 week recoupment. I broke my foot in a fender bender on December 20th on the way home from work. I ended up rear ending someone- smooshed up my car a bit, and ended up breaking my foot from slamming on the break. The doctor put me in a walking cast with crutches and informed me that if I kept the weight off of it I would have a 90% chance of it healing without surgery. If it doesn't heal in 6 weeks I would need surgery. So needless to say I've been hobbling around on crutches for the last 5 weeks. All I can say is thank goodness it's been a dry winter so far. It has made life so much easier dealing with crutches on dry surfaces than wet, snowy & icy surfaces.
Nothing fun going on in the boy department. I realized that liking someone at work is just not a good thing, well at least liking someone who works in the cubicle next to you. Especially if they have the potential to drive a person absolutely crazy. Right now I'm just living it day by day. If I'm supposed to be with someone it'll happen. Besides hearing about how unlucky my cousin has been has kind of settled me down right now. Hearing her stories- you just have to laugh. Cuz according to some guys that she has gone on a date with apparently girls like hearing about a guy's work of construction the entire time. ... Gotta love it.
Things with Kristi's wedding are coming along. I'm working on planning the bachelorette party. It's gonna be a fun time. Let me tell you! It's hard to believe that her wedding is only 3 months away. The time has gone by so fast, and these next three months are only going to fly- with the shower, bachelorette parties and such. Crazy. But it's gonan be a blast. :)
So yeah, I've had a bit going on with me. I guess when a person doesn't update in 3 1/2 months things are going to pile up. Hopefully it'll be sooner than 3 1/2 months before I update again.
