I always thought the head blue meanie was cute. The Elanor Rigby bit was always nightmare fuel for me when I was very, very small.
I'm just starting to appreciate how awesome George was.
You'd remember if you had seen it. It's about 20 million times weirder than Help. It's got their only performance of I am the walrus, camp wizards and a stripper. Everything a growing boy needs.
I was always creeped out by psychedelic stuff when I was little, so I'm glad I never watched it then or I would've been scarred for life! :P
Oh, George. It sounds pathetic, but he was just so nice. And he wrote 'Here Comes the Sun' which is a massive bonus.
Ok, definitely haven't seen it then. :D Sounds amazing! I'll certainly have a look at that.
I got into them when the 'Love' album came out, so *checks Wiki* 6 years ago. Wow, only 6 years? But then I listened to the original, non-doctored albums and had my mind blown.
Did you know when they where recording the white album Ringo quit the band for a couple of weeks and when he came back George had decorated his drum kit with flowers and a note saying 'Welcome home'.
Oh, God, I didn't know that! My heart hurts now. Amazing how you can mourn someone you only discovered five years after their death.
Although they were all incredibly close, I sort of feel that the Harrison/Starr friendship is sometimes the calmer, more poignant antithesis to the Lennon/McCartney partnership. One of the things that really stood out for me when watching 'Living in the Material World' was how when George was on his deathbed, Ringo went to visit him but had to leave because his daughter was having emergency surgery, and George asked, "Do you want me to come with you?"
Another cute story is that George was going to be in a film with Ringo but had to pull out after he broke his foot. He still flew over to hang out with Ringo on set though :-)
Who's your favourite Beatle? Favourite song?

Lets see, favourite Beatle...I think I'd go for Paul and my favourite song would have to be Help.
Have you ever seen Magical Mystery Tour?

I'm a George Harrison kinda girl myself, but they're all stupendously awesome. I wish I'd been around to witness them first-hand.
I don't think I have. I've seen 'Help' which was bonkers but genius. I think an episode of the Boosh as written by the Fab Four would be amazing :p

Check it out, it's my happy place:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLpS__RmvmI
I used to watch it almost daily as a toddler because my parents lack good judgement :-P
How long have you been into the Beatles?
